Govt. Women’s College, Gardanibagh, Patna was established in 1974 with the motive of upliftment of students (women’s) of inhabitant of western Patna. The B.Ed started in this college from academic session (2015-17) under self-finance scheme. The NCTE granted affiliation with 50 intakes (one unit). In Ist Batch(2015-17) students admitted showed their academic record securing 49 students in First Division. Amid several difficulties, the college has good academic record. In Academic Session (2016-18), 46 students secured First Division. In Academic Session (2017-19) 48 student’s secured First Division, Session (2018-20)06 and Academic Session (2019-21) 21 students’ secured first division. The basic moto of college is to prepare quality teachers who can provide quality education, good morals, self finance, social justice to the society. The college has been constantly conducting seminar, workshop since its inception for holistic personality development.

The aims of the Department is to empower women through pedagogy context, experience, evaluation, It is dedicated to prepare next generation highly motivated, esteemed pool of teachers who will be intellectually competent morally upright, socially committed & spiritually inspired. The B.Ed department is committed to generate real human resource well equipped with the ideology of real teacher. So the Department justify inactivity as a perfect role model to the students.
